I need to remove the wood steering wheel (same as '65-'66 deluxe wheel) from my '69 and I'm not sure how to remove the horn button. Any suggestions?
What about the steeering wheel itself, do I need a puller? If so, will any puller do?
THANKS!

The 65-66 simulated wood wheel, has a center cap that should just pull off, it is attached with three springy prongs. The 69-70 simulated wood wheel has a pad that is held on by three phillips screws, from the back side. 15/16 socket is then used on the nut, I would advise using a puller to pop the wheel.
This info is for factory wheels, if you have an aftermarket Grant wheel, the horn button should pry off, you then remove three bolts for the horn plates, and wheel to access the mounting hub.

In my 70, the the center cap just pulls off. I'm not sure if this is the factory wheel or not... but since it's a grande with woodgrain trim elsewhere, I would think it's original.

Maybe I misread, but the center cap on 65-67 deluxe wheels is not the horn button. There are three horn "buttons" that protrude from the metal portion in back, through the front metal part (the one with the decreasing-size holes in it).
