Drivetrain How do I remove transmission cooler lines?

I am trying to remove my transmission cooler lines to install a new radiator and tan on my 86 GT and I can’t figure it out the fasteners out. I loosened them which took some force but now they just keep spinning and spinning. What am I doing wrong?

Try pulling straight back on the metal tubing. The tubing flare my be stuck on the internal threads of the trans cooler fittings.

This is an OEM fitting, not sure what you have there. Is that knurled collar part of the rad? Do the two hexes screw apart or is it one piece?

Yes the knurled collar is part of the rad and the whole thing screws together. What year is that? could this just be difference in years?
