My next steps are electric fan, lakewood 50/50, 70/30, 4.30gears, solid motor mounts (don't care about the NVH), upper torque box reinforcements. Once i receive the uppers, everything will be welded, along w/ subframes and lower reinforcements. How fast ballpark will my car be after this stuff gets done? And, what should I do, in logical order, to get a low 13, possibly high 12 second car? That's as fast as I need to go for now.

you dont need a c4 ....
hell you could probally do it without a converter but i dont reccomend that ..

get a nice edge converter for your set up.
and lighten the car , your 4.30 ears might put the car out of its powerband in the end of the 1/4 but im not sure .

a buddy of mine went 13.50 at 102 wit ha stock converrter 3.73 gears and just strait bolt ons nothing fancy.

i would go 4.10's and 3000 stall converter, you already have the shift kit, get a cooler on it, and go for the boltons (heads and intake is what it's gonna take)

honestly if you spray it, it will be the cheapest and easiest way.

my stock lx 'vert went 13.60's w/ 3.73's and 100 shot zex. street tires too.

It is possible but it is definately harder to get good times with the AOD compared to the T5.

Get a Lentech vb, wide ratio gears, 10 in. converter 3.73 gears and any t5 will eat dust as long as you don't blow the tires off.

Converter, 4.10s, sticky tires, some rear suspension work i.e. LCAs and such.

Look at my combo in my sig. I am so close is almost frustrating. I went 14.18 at 97.93 last time out. I really need a convert and some sticky tires. I also need to rebuild the AOD so I am waiting on that to do the converter. I know that with a converter and some stickier tires I will be in the 13s. Until then I just practice getting off the line with the best 60' and seeing how it helps my times.

Man if I was building an automatic, the Lentech AOD would be the way imo.

Just FYI here's some info on making the
AOD live under power.

Oh, and you MUST have a converter!

maybe even a 3500 stall although a 3000 is more streetable, and definatly a big cooler and I would get a lentech mvb but you can hit 12s and 13s without it

Went high 13's with full exhaust, cold air kit, 4.10 gears, 3000 stall and a trashgo shift kit all on street radials. Oh, plus my battery is in the trunk. Threw on a 125 shot and went mid 12's. Snapped my crank on the bottle and now waiting to break the motor in with the 347 stroker I just installed.

good custom converter "www.edgeracingconverters.com" and cooler and good valvebody or shift kit, 4.10's all bolt-ons, weight reduction, sticky tires and suspension work.

You really don't need 4.10 gears if you use the 2.84 low gearset from a 4r70w- vs 2.40 for an aod.

I bought a good used 4r70w for $250 and used everything but the input and output shafts, case, pump and vb.

3.73 + .4 = 4.13 first gear equivalent with aod.

With a nonlockup converter the rpms won't drop so much on shifts, but you may lose a couple mph trap speed. Fair tradeoff for e.t. , provided you can get traction.

i agree with you 100% but a wide ratio and 3.90's would be fun
