find a shop that is open minded. Have them do some work for you so they think of you as a good customer....brakes, alignment, an oilchange is great (makes them think you'll come back for all the little maintenence there). Then ask them to inspect it. They dont want to piss off a good customer so they'll do what is necessary. I have heard rumors of those who put a different car on the dyno when the lamba probing happens.
A 26 year old car still needs to pass emissions?!?!?!?
Those hippies writing laws in cally need to wake up and look at the practicality of these laws. It just takes a lot of classics off the road for no reason. How many 1979 cars are daily driven anyways? Like maybe a handful. I was going to move to cally but then reading these laws they have killed it for me.
