I have a custom x-pipe with cats and 2 chambered flows and it sounds pretty good to me. It does drone, but it only drones at like 2400 rpms when im doing 80-90 on the freeway. It has a slight drone at 60-70 but not much.

I had an x-pipe on my '96 paired with flowmasters and it didn't rumble much but it sounded amazing and I got compliments a lot.

I am thinking of going with and off road x-pipe on my current mustang but I want to retain the lope from my bigger cam (mods in sig). Would an x-pipe paired with my 3" Mac cat back exhaust still have a defined lope or would it smooth it out?

Also, would a '93 GT x-pipe fit my '95 GT? Thanks guys!

My custom pipe was bent for a 87-93 GT and it fit...it hang a little lower than one built for our cars but it works great! There are a few little fitment issues that you may have to finesse a little but it should fit okay.

I just put a UPR X on with the rest of the exhaust listed in my sig, and it smoothed the exhaust out a ton. No more cackle on decel, and it cut down the drone at 2k quite a bit too.

i have mac long tubes with pro chamber and flows, all 2.5 inch pipes, on a 95 cobra with a 331 stroker with a vortech blower and the sound could wake the dead. absolutely brutal.

I ran Flowmasters with my x-pipe for a few months. Sounded damn good, but being loud all the time got a little old.

Just want to voice my opinion. I went from shorty headers/H-pipe/Flowmasters to Long tubes/x-pipe/Flowmasters to long tubes/x-pipe/Magnaflow's. By far I like the old set up the best. My new setup with the x pipe and magnaflows is quiet with no drone, wich is nice for long trips, but...The flowmaster and an H-pipe sounded downright evil.

I have video of each setup for those that are interested.

i dont think theres a muffler that goes more perfectly with a mustang than flowmasters with a good off road h pipe.
