How does flowmaster sound with X-pipe ??????

I have a stg 2 TF cam and want to retain sound from the lope but want larger diameter piping so should I stick with the h-pipe style or go with an x-pipe? right now it is cut off right after the mufflers (borla's) and it sounds pretty good but I bought a 3" MAC cat back system to mate up because the rear needs something there and I like the sound of it.

So I can take th x-pipe from my buddies fox body and install it on my '95 with little trouble just some persuasion? If so i can pick it up damn cheap.

ok you guys are referring to a catted x i suppose? i am having an o/r x put on w/ my 2 chamber 40 series flows here soon. hope it sounds good lol cuz the x is stayin no matter what to get those extra ponies from the STOCK 4 cat h.

i had 2 chambers with my catted x and it sounded pretty good, i switched to dynamax resonators and i actually miss the flows. it has alot less power at low rpm now cause theres no backpressure, not to mention it sounds just like raw straight pipe with no real tone. im probably gonna end up taking the cats off and putting flows back on, o/r x with 2 chambers sounds awesome IMO

I had a magnaflow x pipe with cats and flows. It sounded alright....Then I switched out the flows for dynomax bullets and cut the tail pipes, dumped them after the bullets. I couldn't be happier, my car is basically all stock except for bbk shorties and then the x pipe. It sounds awesome though and I can't wait for future mods. I'm thinking after a h/c/i it will sound that much better. Before getting the bullets, I also read that staight through mufflers are better for the x-pipe. The sound is definetely different than most mustangs around my area. I would be curious to know what an h-pipe with bullets would sound like, considering people say that h-pipes have a more throaty sounding noise. But you may want to consider the bullet mufflers, with an o/r x it would probably be that much more bad ass. Plus they are cheap. I got my x pipe with cats cause I live in CA and have to pass smog, which I did with no problems, the mangnaflow is a good piece.

i just installed my dr. gas offroad x and i have 2 chamber 40 series flowmasters and i absolutely love the sound. you can really hear the cam a lot more(than the stock H) at idle, and you can't beat the sound at the higher rpms. i can definitely feel the performance difference also.
