I found a 4 speed 2.3 II for sale for $800.00 the body isn't perfect , but it's ok and the interior is pretty nice. Are the carbed 2.3's pretty reliable? Good gas mileage?
I used to have a mercury bobcat with a 2.3, but it was an auto. It was a fun little winter beater. Only problem I found with it was, I had to change the valve cover gasket about once a yr because it always developed a leak. Other then that it was a problem free car for the 4 yrs I had it. It was no speed demon though, I took it to the drags on street night and it ran consistent 21 sec passes.
LOL @ 21 sec 1/4 mile. I used to have a '93 4 popper with the FI 2.3 and it was pretty tough. I am just looking at this for a beater so I may go check it out further thanks.
