i need all the advice you can give!

here's what's my plan ,

donor car - 2001 Mustang GT convertible
removed every thing all wires and harness, 3 amps, speakers

here's the problem it has a Mach 460 6 disc cd-player the big fat ones !

going into a 1994 Mustang GT convertible-
i have the sperate deck's 2 small ones

know will i need to rewire everything or is it possible to connect to
my old mach 460 wiring?

were's the main power connector for the complete system?

and the amp's are newer so

main thing will i need to rewire or use old wiring from the older version mach 460

please post your thoughts and what will be best way's?

thanks guy's for all the support

p/s has any one ever installed the 6 disc cd player in there 94-95 stang?

I'm not sure about the wiring, but you'll need the center consol plastic to house the 6 disc in. I've actually been concidering this swap myself as my CD player doesn't like to eject anymore. I'd imagine its a simple plug and play for me as I already have the mach 460.

Paul - Please let me know how this goes if you do this or if you get anymore information about it. My CD player is starting to be picky about when it will eject CD's too, so it might be time for a new one. If its a direct plug and play on a MAch 460 I'd definetely do it.

My cd player was like this right after I got my car. After using it quite a while and jamming other cds into the player to get old cd out, it now works just fine

I know 2 people have who have done this. If you already have Mach 460 its as simple as getting the new center console trim and plug it in. IF you dont have mach 460 be prepared to run some wires:)

i just got the complete MACH 460 SYSTEM in ....

FEDEX.com damage some item's and tore the box up! :bang: it's completely rip open

i have some picture's if someone could post them for me??

the funny thing here is when the fedex guy got their he just drop the box at the door step and left didn't even knock on the door to get sign for!

sister came out as the fedex guy was walking away, all he said was bye :nonono:

i'm pretty piss off here-

has any one file a claim for damage item's ?

how does this work?

TTT

ok guy's look at the back of the 6 DISC cd player and theirs only 3 plug in's for the mach 460 2001 & up , 94-98 have 9-12 plugs back their i have the older mach 460 system this is what i saw,

the center console from the 2001 GT does not fit in has extra clips around the hole thing!

the 6 disc cd player will not fit right in you have to cut the old mounting brackets for the center console!

FASTFIVE0 ~ PLEASE HELP more info needed on install and wiring???

no problem... like I said, you could do it... but you would have to rewire it... I almost went through that w/ a new CD player transfered from my taurus... but it was too much work, and about $400 in labor for everything I wanted to do for a shop to do it... I'm sure w/ some help, if you know what you are doing, you could have it done in a good weekend... working most of the day...

-it took me 4 solid days to redo EVERYTHING in my taurus w/ 2 15" subs, 3 amps, 8 speaker setup, headunit, and full wiring... my dad was there for moral support...

yes, like I said, it's even possible w/o the wiring... you'd just have to buy a wiring kit (like $80 at least) but since you have ALL the wiring, I say go for it... you are going to need to take out all the seats, and most of the carpet around the door jams to find the "wiring tunnel"... just take your time, and if you have a friend that can come over for a day or two, it really helps having someone else there to talk/swear/lend a helping hand. :D

-the only thing that might not make you do it, is it WILL definetly take you a while to do the wiring swap... a friend at Magnolia or Car Toys in the install department would be great for some last minute advice as well... good luck :nice:

yessssssssssss i have hopes !!!!!!!!!

i have the whole dam wiring , donor car was strip with all wiring it's all thier....

should it just be re-move old 94-95 plugs and connect new 2001 harness plugs ???

keep the info coming >>>>>>>>>
