how hard would it be to add a new Mach 460 6 disc cd-player to 94 mustang GT

just go talk w/ the guys at Car Toys... their install department... ask how much for them to do it, and if it's too much for you, then buy something from them, and talk w/ a friendly install guy and get his advice to go about it... that's pretty much all I can tell you, other than just replace the old wires w/ the new ones, and hook it all up correctly... :D

I am in the process of this swap right now But I'm stuck on the wiring. Already have the 6 disc mounted and bezel swapped. Any body know the pin out on the back of the CD6?

I'll post pics of the process when all done. Asking for help on the pin-out

i heard that the new indash 6-disc changers have a security feature where if their tilted more then 35 degrees the insides get messed up

I've been trying to figure out the wiring while doing my install. In doing so, i've had cd's playing in it upside down, sideways, and every which way. Still plays. No security feature like that.

your lucky you dont have to rewire your whole system GTverty2k it's just play and play for you !

dam i'm missing one plug harness the middle one

94-95 is a big problem

Fortunatly I don't have to do the whole system. I'm really stuck now on the wiring. I can get the front amp (high frequency) to work but not the rear amps (low freq.). I can't figure out how to get the signal to the rear amps. I'm pretty sure the power to the amps is on but no signal. I think I'm going to try the Metra 70-5519.

FINALLY got it working!!!!!! :D
Good News. It can be done. Upgrade to a Mach 460 6 disc changer. I have an '00 convertible that had the seperate radio and CD units. Have upgraded to CD6. It's midnight now, time to go to bed. Will post details in am.

just splice the wires from old connector to the new one....the all the same wires are there they are just setup in diffent conectors....hell i bet the color code is all the same so spliceing will take was an hour? and then plug in the new stuff and be done..

nice... glad to hear you got it working... btw, since you have the 6 cd in there now... you won't be needing your old CD player, will you? want to chuck that over my way? I have the stock mach 460 w/o a CD player! I was pissed when I found out that all of them came w/ the CD player in the 460s...

-btw, anyone know how hard it is to install the CD player in a pre-existing mach 460 setup? is it just that one harness behind it all into the cd player? that's it?
