Hey guys, i seen on autolite's site that the plugs are warranted/gaurentee for like 3 year..i believe. But in your experiances, do they last a while being that they are single platinum..?

I'm asking cause i put them in my 4.6 thunderbird 5K miles ago (may 05) and recently pulled them, to regap to .053 (.056 was causing misses) which completely cured the problems i was having, i put back the plugs and one wasn't "in" correctly...somehow, and blew out when i started it. The tread's where fine thank god. I got 1 new ap764 (cause i was broke) and put her in, everything nice and tight. So basically i got 7 plugs with 5K and one brand new. I DO NOT want to change plugs again..period. I don't wanna chance messing up that plug hole..cause that's expensive, and i'm trying to get a stang this fall...

Would the plugs last for another 20-30K everyday driving etc.. I'm not concerned about performance drop if the plugs get old. Thanks alot... BTW when i pulled the plugs they where all in good shape..like new, the smaller gap did help in a major way.

Yeah same with mine..the 95 birds came with motorcraft plat's good for 100K. But for some reason, when you look up plugs and stuff they all seem to be 20-30K...?!?!? Even some expensive ones.

Well, I run copper plugs and accept the fact that I will have to change them about every 2-3 years. I do this because I think copper produces slightly better performance plus I like working on my car.

Yeah the copper is best for performance, that's a definite. I remember when i worked at autozone i had all the 50's something muscle car guys ALWAYS wanting them...yet we had like NO motorcraft coppers..

Lol for kicks i would bring out the bosch double platinum with the stupid 4 electrods...they always got a kick out of that.
