Just curious how lowered the car should be before using fox body struts and shocks. I was thinking of getting some ford racing springs and ordering the kyb kit off of LRS. Are those springs gonna lower the car enough, or should I go for a different set? Thanks guys

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Spring choice is up to you. They lower the car about an inch and a quarter, if you use the isolators and stuff.

It all depends on the strut/shock brand. I run Strange 10 way adjustables and they actually told me that if the car was lowered 1.25" or more than use the fox length units.

I thought you supposed to use the 94-up shocks for the rear even if the car is lowered....Was i wrong?

Like I said above, really all depends on the brand of shock. All I know is that when talking to Strange Engineering at WFC in Indy back in '07 they said to use the fox model if the car is lowered 1.25" or more front and rear.

Other manufacturers may differ

Some brands use the same part numbers for the rears. I use fox parts I'm lowered about 2-2.25 inches with no issues
