how many are EGR less on the street?

Glad to hear you're reinstalling your EGR! A couple of years ago I capped off the EGR valve without turning EGR off in the computer like the guys above when I put my LT headers on (the LTs didn't have the EGR bung), and my car pinged like crazy, and mileage did go down a little as well. When I did my fox TB conversion I installed the Fox EGR setup and the car stopped pinging and mileage improved. IMO EGR is a good thing, and since there are no performance gains from deleting it my advice to everyone is to keep it.

I hate how it gums everything up and builds carbon up in your intake. I deleted mine the computer still thinks its hooked up everything runs perfect. Its hit or miss really I will find out how it really runs next summer in the heat.
