I've got sportlines on my car right now, the front is perfect but the rear always buggs me. I've just gotta have it lower, theres still wheel gap back there.

this is an 00 GT.. my choices are adjustable lower control arm or to cut the springs. i've already took the isos out and i cant afford lower control arms, so i was going to buy some 4 cyl. fox body springs and cut those.

How much do i have to cut them to get a 2.1" drop or so?

i thought it'd be bad to cut the sportlines because they are progressive?

Also, where do i cut? from the top or the bottom?

Cutting sportlines...GEESUZ....if you drop it another 2.3in you will be on the ground. What size wheels and tires you running that you still have 2.3in of wheel well gap.

i'm running biiig tires out back, 255 45 17...a lot of sidewall.\
I don't want to lower it ANOTHER 2.3 inches, i just want the total drop in the back to be about 2.3 inches, maybe 2.1. I have like 3 fingers gap in the back! and i'm not even running isos back their.

In my experience, the early sn95 get SLAMMED on sportlines, and the new edges, the front end slams but the back end always leaves a little wheel gap.

It could also be because my shocks are worn, giving me the impression that i have a lot of wheel gap.. if i set on perfect perfect level ground the car looks good, but even if there is a slight imperfection on the ground then one side has a lot of wheel gap and the other side has none.

i just want to cut like literally less than half a coil.. like 2/4 of it from the sportlines. Where would i cut from? the bottom or the top?

Look, this is the car

Yeah I see what you mean, just a quarter of an inch would level it out.
