How many miles do you have on your CHP or DSS Longblock?

I'm looking into picking up a CHP or DSS longblock soon. I'm just wondering what longevity to expect from one of these motors. It will be street driven just for some fun around town. Maybe a few trips to the strip a year. I'm just wondering if I should expect 20,000 miles...200,000 miles. I really have no idea what a high performance motor like that should last. Thanks.

I think I have 2k on mine and no problems as of yet. I think the biggest determining factor is which block you get, and what h/c/i and power adder you get. If you do a full h/c/i and 250 shot of n2O on the base block from either company, don't expect much. But if you keep the power limited to their suggestions, change the oil often, and don't spin it to 7k+ it should last you a very long time.

They have a block for every app, but again, just don't push their suggested power range and you should see over 100k out of it w/o a problem.

Another thing to note is that when you get in the 800hp+ range, any setup will fatigue. If you want that kind of power, don't expect longevity.
