How many of us build there own car parts?

As I filp through catalogs and website I cant help but think "What the hell""?Most of this stuff looks pretty easy to fabricate yourself.Like the Monte Carlo bar.Looks simple enough(although for only 20-25$ Ill just be buying one). For instance these $1000-$2000-$3000 axle kits/disc brake kits/ and suspension kits dont look very hard to make yourself(not talking about fabricating a arms or axles or anything).Who here has made there own parts?Write a description and a pic if youve got it.Even if you just pirated some parts off a junkyard car and made them fit your car tell me about them.

I made my own upper ball joint shims for doing a 2" Shelby drop. It's a simple part that you can't see, so being definitely NOT a machinist didn't matter. I just had to get the things close enough. They don't look pretty. But I paid $8 for the material, and that's it. The price was definitely right. :D
