How Many Ponies??

until I find a dyno what y’all experts think it’s gonna do? I just got the car on a trade and am not certain of ALL the mods done. What I do know is it’s 2000 gt with a manual transmission, strut and unibody connectors, Paxton NOVI 2000 pushing up to 12 lbs I measured on gauge. BBK 78mm throttle body, high flow fuel pump, high flow injectors, x pipe cat delete with stainless mufflers. Accell cops, ????

It’s the fastest car I have owned so no way to really judge the power. I will say it wants to rip the 285 Nittos off in 1st 2cd and 3rd gear. I have read varied dyno reports from 360 to 406 with less boost and less mods so I am hoping for around 450hp. Any insight is appreciated.

Oh yeah it has a custom tune on it from a highly recommended guy/shop apparently. It doesn’t knock and runs amazing so I vouche for him

375-400 depending on the dyno. You're going to need long tubes, cams, and maybe some head work to get up to 450 unless it's just a freak.

That being said mine only "puts down" 410 through an auto on 10/11lbs but runs 11.45@119. So a dyno is just a tuning tool and I wouldn't put much stock into it.

I'd guess 380-400 rwhp but it really depends on how aggressive the tune is.

I read long tube headers are no good. I’m going with some shortys that will bolt right up hopefully. How would I know if it already has a cam in it? Any way to tell?

Not accurate at all, a PITA to install especially with an AT but will be much more efficient than shorty's.
The only way I have heard to be sure is remove a valve cover and check the cam numbers. An expert should chime in with a better way maybe.

Don't waste you're money and time with shorties. Long tubes will make power. For an auto run Mac as they fit best.
