just wondering how many run solid motor mounts on the street? I've been running mine for about a year now. Not the most vibration free thing on the highway...I'm sure. Prolly the cause of a my starter problems. Just wanted to get some feed back as to what everyone else is running. Also state which engine hp range your running
stock to 300hp
300hp to 450hp
450hp up
thanks

Not to hyjack here.......but

When I baught my 88 LX, it had solid motor mounts,
The motor is pretty much stock, is it advisable to purchase some stock, or poly mounts..........I am just worried about ripping the Mount - k frame steel, or doing any structural damamge. I don't care about vibration, just don't want to damage the car itself

Got'em on the coupe. I've got a friend at work who's a madman with steel and he made us a set. They're solid for sure...lol Like stated above, they'll vibrate a lot more, especially if you've got a good cam lope. I drive my car to work on occasion and thats 25 miles one way, and it's not terrible even at 70mph. Opinions vary, but i'd suggest against solid motor mounts AND a solid trany mount. Some people say it's good, most say you'll crack your trany case from flex/torque...and i agree. Use a good unrithane mount for the trany. If you're worried about the vibration, Energy Suspension motor mounts are really solid feeling...much more so than any stock mount. I ran these on my car before i got the free solids.

i dont have solid motor mounts but i do have a torque link. the left side of the motor has a solid link to the point where the sway bar connects. i got tired of my engine hitting my hood. the motor doesnt move at all now. its my daily driver and i have no problems. making 403rwhp
