How many threads?

Does anyone know how many threads and Patriot stage 2 heads have?
And if they do not have more then 6 threads does anyone know where i can get some heads and a 01 4.6l bullitt that does?

They use ford casting to start with, so I'm sure they have the same amount as stock PI heads, but I've seen at least one case where they helicoiled the threads before shipping. If done correctly that would be a good thing.

Oh, but when you helicoil does it make it weaker? Or could blow that out?

A helicoiled thread will be stronger than the original threads in just about any application. They have to be installed correctly though, the one case I saw Patriot had not finished the process on one plug hole, and it backed out with the plug. If I were putting new heads on I would helicoil all of them. If done right, you will not strip a helicoiled thread.

According to Patriot Performance they do put inserts on their heads.

thanks for your replys, I cant drive my car so I am trying to get some heads quickly just paranoid about a plug popping out now since it happened to me. I think ill go with the patriot heads and have them helicoil all of them with more threads, if it does not make it more prone to pop one.
