how much can a bad balancer rob your HP and E/Ts???

I don't know. It might effect power because instead of power being used to turn the wheels, it would be wasted in shaking the engine.

Not to mention, loosening things due to vibration. And, of course, the "harmonics" of the engine.

It is going to depend how badly (and how) the balancer is 'bad'. And how long it has been running like that.

I wouldn't worry about how much it slowed me down, I would worry about how much abuse my motor would be going through with a bad balancer

Well i know that but i am using my times for a starting point, as far as i know its been like this since i've had the car, and i am guessing it was before me.

Think a balancer could be so bad it could cause a stock AOD to run 16.8s??



and how do i install a new one?, just get under there and use a puller kit and etc?

Get a compression check.
