How much for an X-pipe and cats?

Well as many as you know my tranny blew and it broke one of the cats. So my dad went to the Ford dealership and its 1300 bucks for a brand new H-pipe and cats So would buying aftermarket cats and H or X pipe cost less?

hell yes, you can get a stainless catted h or x and catback for like $500-600 and it will sound 10x better. check out partshopper.com, mustangexhaust.com, and completeexhaust.com

you'll also get some hp gain @ the wheels, 10hp or so with midpipe I think

Well, previous owner before me put on Bassani X pipe with cats and I believe the receit said 800 bucks. Great sound!

I'll sell ya my OEM catted H for half of that $1300...hell for that much, I'll even install it!!! Seriously, get an aftermarket catted H or X.

The magnaflow catted X will pass the sniffer in CA. It will fail the visual test though. But then again, if you have evidence that your cold cats broke, that might be enough to get you to pass the visual as well. Either way, the trick is to find a friendly smog shop and have them smog it. You'd have to come across a pretty anal smog tech for him to fail you on the visual...
