well, i put blower cams in. a real miled stage 1 blower cam too. iv havent got my blower on yet! its been like 2 yrs. anyway, i did get stage 2 ported heads at the same time.

i really dont know what gained the power. most say its the cams as heads wont do much na. i really dont know.

with just those 2 things done i gained 35rwhp/20rwtq on the dyno.

btw, that was only the peak numbers.

the good part was i picked up more power in other areas of the rpm range.

@ 5500rpm = 43rwhp/41rwtq
@5900rpm = 48rwhp/44rwtq. now some of this power i believe came from the ported heads. i think they helped the cams out in the other rpm ranges.

You'll definately notice those cams even N/A. I also just added 2 more grinds to the CMS line up. A stage 2.5 blower and a stage 2.5 N/A.

quick question. Do you need to get a tune after installing cams?

I always use Richard at Strictly Performance. Steve at Houston Performance is not bad either. Also, there is couple others, such as slaters up near Humble, and PSI motorsports in south houston.

I wouldn't depend on Slaters for dyno tuning, though you can get some runs done there. I got dyno'd at Fatal Performance near 45 on 1960.
