How much nitrous can a healthy stock longblock handle? Whats the most you guys would spray?

I've read that typically you don't wanna go over 50% of the original HP of the stock engine. So 100 - 125 shot max?

125-150 would be my limit on a pretty much stock short block.

I'm at a 100 shot right now and probably will stay there for a while. With my converter I should be a low 12 second car. Not bad for a AOD vert GT

I have seen ALOT of people spray 200 shots on stock engines. The biggest thing is getting towards the 500ish limit of the block. I know somebody spraying a 200 shot on a stock block 331 that already made upper 300's n/a. Dunno how long that is gonna last!

I would spary 125.

I would have to say only the dedicated track guys are running 200 shots on a somewhat stock block. With a 200 shot I would only hit it a couple times a month at the track.

I'll let yeah know in a few months , my coupe has survived a 200 shot over two stages screwing around on the street as side from a head gasket here or there. Handles a 100 -150 a few times a week no problem. My project car ( Light weight 90 GT, stock 150k bottem end ) will be getting as much as it takes for the crank to meet the ground. I figure a single stage 250 shot from my NX efi race kit will do it i, within a few passes.

yep i would go with no more then 150hp shot. don't forget to take 2 degrees of timing out for every 50 hp shot when you do spray.
