Hi guys. A friend of mine has a set of ET streets that'll fit my car, and I want to give them a try in the next couple of weeks. I've never run with slicks before so I was just wondering how I should launch, and at what point I should start to worry about breaking things. I'm running an 03 cobra that's basically stock. Any advice you have will be appreciated.

I've seen guys break them on stock tires. But I've seen many more on slicks break them.

I'm only planning on making 2 or 3 passes. Are we talking instant FUBAR, or breakage after 10-15 passes?

I've heard of many 03 Cobra owners running ET Streets with no issues. The 1/2 shafts on the 03 Cobra are much better than the previous years.

Fact: no guarantee on when or if it will break.

Can't help you on how to launch as this spring will be my first attempt on ET Streets. I finally went to a solid axle
