How often do you s/c guys have to replace belts

I'm known a couple guys thats had s/c's. And they seem to go throw a good amount of belts. Of course they race alot. Is this what happens with the rest of you. Like a belt every month or two. Or sometimes just bad luck.

I have had my supercharger on for four years and replaced the belt twice. I race it every week in the summer but have never thrown a belt (knock on wood).

I replace mine every year. I only drive it for 6 months out of the year though. The belt looked fine when I took it off. I keep it as a spare incase I shred one at the track, but it's not really necessary. I just dont want to take chances so I change it once a year.

I was told to change it every 6 months or so. I looked at Saturday and it show's no sign of wear.

Maybe your friends have the alignment off just a bit? A friend of mine went through a TON of belts when he put his Virtech on. They finaly went back through all the boxes and found one TINY washer they had left out. After putting it on, no more problems.

What size belt would be needed for a V2-SQ with a 3.6" pulley? I want to buy a spare......or is it marked on the existing belt?

I'm guessing but I think it was a 108.

Depends on how hard you are on it, I guess. I have to change mine about every 3 months.

I had a problem with belt slippage when I changed to a 2.75" pulley. After playing with different belt sizes I ended up with the right size and I haven't changed the belt since. It looks brand new and there is no belt slip. Its probably been on there 1 year (granted, I've only driven 7-8k miles in that time).
