How strong is the Ford 8.8 rear-end and gear?

How much can a factory Ford 8.8 rear end and gear handle? How about the carrier and the axels. I am saying generally how much because I am sure hard launches and sticky tires have more to do with this.

I know the rear isn't much an issue for me because I don't make that much power and don't run slicks, but I am just wondering.

Alot of HP, since they are still using the 8.8 to date even on Cobras with 390stock HP and tq... around 400HP or more

Ran 9 years ago a 8.8 with a detroit locker and 4.30 gears welded tubes and good axles and 9" end caps and a support rear cover and it handled 900 RWHP. Never a problem but the driveshafts went at least once a year.
