How to Adjust the Pinion Angle

I got a set of HPM Megabite Double Adjustable Upper Control Arms today and already have poly axel mounts and plan on installing them soon as I can. I have been wondering about how to set the angle and what angle it should be set. I've heard 1-2* negative? What is the difference between negative and positive? Any help would be apreciated.
