I have had my wideband and the Tweecer in my car for a pretty long time and have never figured out how to datalog A/F with it. I can datalog with the Zeitronix software, but I cant view my A/F at certain RPM's, ETC. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to do some wiring or is it with my laptop or what? I have the Zeitronix Wideband.

check out the tweecer.oplnk site for step by step install/setup faq's, I think Darren Woodall(SP?) has a great set of threads on it.]

You can dissable the EGR and wire it up threw there (search the tweecer forums on how, again) and log it in the tweecer.

or

you can (might work with zet. I know people use it with the LM1/LC1 innovate) get a dataq (about 25$) and run it threw there into your laptop and it should be able to sink up with the cal-con while datalogn'. again search the froms on exact things but that is how I have seen it posted about...hope to get a innovate LC1 soooooon and have been looking at how it hooks up.

Like Greg said, most use the egr or dataq method.

I used the egr method.
A brief and simple way to put it is like this ..........

The egr puts out about 0.0 to 5.0 volts to the pcm.

It just so happens most WB's have an analog output with about that same voltage range.

You just substitute the wb for the egr, turn off the egr scalars, and dlog the egr sensor which now is the wb.

You then have the ability to see your WB's data in your dlogs along with the other data you normally see
and
af ratio is synced with your other 15 choices of payload data

As Greg said you will need to get the details of which pcm connector pin (pin 27 IIRC) to work with
and
you may have to do some work with a dbf file in the Stkr/Data directory
which contains the data for your choice of WB. You may not have to do this step if you see Zeitronix as one of the choices of WB's in the latest CalCon software.

I put my pcm input pin on a switch so I can switch back & forth between the two appliations.

You'll have no trouble with this as I've seen several peeps use that wb so the exact info is gonna be there for you.

I have done a few searches and have came up with the info you have given me, but not what exactly to do. So I need to somehow run a wire from my wideband box to my EGR hookup(or the pin on my EEc?) Ill try another search.

I found this from the Tweecer support site faqs forum.

http://eectuning.org

See if this helps!

Its how I did it on my car.

Do you see Zeitronix as one of the wb choices in the setup of CalCon?

Grady

The process of connecting your wideband to the TwEECer/EEC involves a few steps.

Note: This FAQ assumes that you already have a working and installed wideband on your car and that you are using CalCon/CalEdit v1.20b or newer.

1) The first step is to find out where the voltage output for A/F ratio is on your controller circuit. Here is the info I have (currently only the Australian DIY-WB):
1a) Australian DIY-WB v1.0: Pin7 on CON3 (diagram)

2) Connect this output to pin27 on your EEC (green w/brown stripe wire). There are two ways this can be done.
2a) Connect it to the wire directly at the EGR, this tends to be the most common method.
2b) Connect it directly to pin27 on the connector to your EEC. This is the method I used, as I feel it leaves less room for error from electrical resistance (shorter wiring). This however, involves dirtying up your harness as you have to cut the wire that goes into your EEC.

I only know the correct wiring for 94-95 v8 mustangs, as that is what I own, if anyone has different data for other years, please let me know so I can update this FAQ.

3) Assuming all electrical connections are good, the next and final steps are to setup a custom payload within caledit and datalog the results in calcon.
3a) Startup CalEdit.
3b) Click the tab labeled "Scalars" at the top.
3c) Change the value for "EGR System Type" to "2".
3d) Click the tab labeled "Utilities" at the top.
3e) The top right of the screen contains the various variables you may datalog (you may select up to 16). Select the items you would like to datalog, and make sure you include "EGR Valve Position for DIYWB".
3f) Click "Payload".
3g) Click the tab at the top labeled "Input / Output".
3h) Check the box labeled "Data Logging" which is right below the button called "Read EEC".
3i) Turn the key in the ignition to the ON position and wait 5 seconds (so windows can have time to load the USB driver to talk to the TwEECer).
3j) Click "Write TwEECer".

* wait for CalEdit to write the binary and payload to the TwEECer *

3k) Close CalEdit and Startup CalCon (CalEdit cannot write to the TwEECer while CalCon is open).
3l) Click the tab at the top called "Setup".
3m) In the box labeled "Select Wideband", select the appropriate wideband for the type you have. The Australian WB is the same as the "DIYWB".
3n) Click "Apply Changes".
3o) Click the tab at the top called "Dashboard" or "Digital" (doesn't matter which, just pick whichever display is preferable to you).
3p) Check the box labeled "Log to file" in the top right hand corner.
3q) Select the correct RT Method (pick from list under "Log to File" checkbox)
3r) Start the car.
3s) Click the button labeled "Start Logging".

If all is correct, in about 2 minutes once your wideband O2 sensor is heated up you should start seeing the A/F ratio displayed. If not...go back and make sure all electrical connections are correct and repeat step 3.
