Pull the pump. If you aren't using it anymore and never will put it back on just cut the bracket low enough so It will not mess anything up. Just to clean it up or buy a new bracket. The smog pipes that are on the passenger side by the header can be removed. You just have to remove the pipe that goes down from the firewall to the mid pipe.

Next there is a tube that connects the heads together. You will need head plugs to replace this. Then you will need and EGR block off plate. Last you will need a cap for the headers if your headers have an EGR passage.

FYI, you don't need to eliminate the egr when doing the smog pump.

if you staying n/a you can just get a smaller belt rather than a delete pulley.

the smog can be eliminated without a tune or anything and wont throw codes or anything its as easy as removing the pump and getting a shorter belt...then you have to remove the pipe that runs behind both heads...you must plug both of the holes in the heads and this can be done with a 9/16 bolt you probley wont be able to find a 3/4" 9/16 bolt so you will need a 1" with some washers.. then you will also need to plug the pipe that goes to the h pipe...pinch it and weld it or use something like a jb weld.... if you want to eliminate the erg you will need to have a tune to take the function out of the computer but if your building a 331 you will already need a tune anyways ...as far as deleting the egr it is very easy and cheap. first off you will need to block off the egr where in connects to the elbow you can get a egr delete plate or a 351C fuel block off plate works great.. and can be easily purchased at an auto parts store... now for the header to be blocked you also have options... first one is buy the expensive caps...second is cut your tube since you wont be using it any more and take the original fitting off and reuse that...but theres a hole in it where the pipe was...all you need to do is put a penny in there it blocks it and seals great so that method only costs you .01 and lastly since your building a engine if you already dont have headers just order ones for a 86-93 they are identical without the fittings in them...so you wont have to cap anything

agreed. to remove the smog, even though there is a scalar in the eec for it, you do not need to make any changes in the eec for the car to run problem free.
