ok fellas today i was pullin out of my friends shop, his shop policy is get on it when you leave, so i followed the rule. well anyways the truck does this wierd shift and then went on. well it wouldnt go into OD, so i figured the kickdown cable must have fallen out.....again. its done this maybe 3 times in the last week (dont worry i havent gone over a few hundred feet each time it has) anyways i bought the little bronze bushing and clip thursday from ford, just havent gotten around to puttin it in. so im looking for a parking lot to pull over in and fix it. well my pedal is extremely soft and it was actually nice feelin. very easy to move. pullover put the cable back on, pedal is back to its old stiff self. is there a way i canget my pedal to not be so stiff. and i mean stiff, like it wont move just resting your foot on it. you can loosen the cable up and it feels the same way (soft), it just will mess up the trans.
anybody else have this problem with an aod? is there a simple way to get it maybe just 1/2 the stiffness. my gf hates driving it anyways cuz she says it hurts her leg. i dont tell her that, but it IS a pain to drive for a long drive (no cruise)
