Hey guys I am kinda new to this territory, I am a 5.0 guy, but I am selling my 5.0 and have a '08 Bullitt on order. MM&FF tested the Bullitt and got it to run a 13.29in the 1/4 mile. I was wondering what it takes these 05 and up cars to get into the 12s. I was thinking maybe some drag radials, control arms, 4.10 gears (even though the Bullitt comes with 3.73), and a custom tune. What do you guys think or what do you guys know that works.

I'm sure if you're a decent driver and add everything you have on your list there you'll get into the 12s no problem.

Several guys here have reached 12s with intake/tune/gears/DRs.

Low 12's = GOOD DRIVER, tune, Slicks, 4:10s, 50-75 shot ! some suspension mods ! all in all about 1500 bucks !

Congrats on getting the Bullit and as for 12's with the 3v cars. DR's and a Tuner and with you already having the CAI and 3.73's, you should hit high 12's if you can drive. Suspension and other little bolt-ons can propel this beast into deep 12's.

You already have 3.73's. I don't know if gears would be worth the money. Just to get in the 12's, you'd need drag radials, lca's, and a good tune. With everything else the Bullitt has, that should do it.

I would get a CAI with a SCT and dyno tune, good suspentions mods with UDPs. some 4.10s, one piece d/s. and of course Drag radials. you can see what I have by my sig and what the dyno tune did at Tillmans.

He's buying a Bullitt. He'll already have a CAI and 3.73's. The price is not worth the bump up to 4.10's. That money could be better used elsewhere. It's not much different than going up to 3.73's from 3.55's.

UDP's and driveshaft would be good, also. But with some good stickies, lca's, and a good tune, I bet you could break 12's.

12's on a Bullitt!! How about a more aggressive tune and a sticky tire, thats all you will need if you're a good driver....don't even bother with the 4.10 gears waste of money when you already have 3.73.

The easiest way to get a 3 valve into the 12's would be to latch on to the rear bumper of a new camero or challenger hee hee!!! "Sorry", I just had to throw that in there, as you've been reading, it isn't hard. There really only a breath away from 12's stock, a few bolt on's and some practice, you should run in the 12's all day.

I've heard of some damn good drivers getting these cars into the 12's stock if that's a tall tale then I say CAI + tuner combo will get you there for sure if you know what you're doing.

Power wise these cars are capable of 12s in stock form, but they'd need to have suspension upgrades, quite possibly gears and good tires.

Spyder7724 is running high 11s, N/A with stock block, automatic with less than 300 RWHP and is streetable considering the 4.30 gears. I was talking to him last summer for about 45 minutes and he has done all kinds of suspension work, tweaking here, tweaking there and using a lot of "racer tricks" rearranging weight, eliminating under hood heat buildup and gaining "lost" power through drivetrain tricks. That day, I witnessed him with several runs in the 12.1s @ 110+! A few months later, with the cooler temps, I believe he got 11.8s.

Since you already have an intake and 3.73s, I would upgrade the UCA and LCAs, UDPs, sticky tires and aluminum driveshaft and it should be really easy.

As others have said do not get gears seeing as you already have the 3.73s. Get UPDs, Xcal 2 or 3 with a custom tune and get an aluminum drive shaft. You will be good for mid 12s.
