Very very simple to tell a 302 from a 351.
just look at at the top assessory hole on the FRONT off the block where the heads bolt to. The top hole on a 302 is about 1/2 inch from the top of the deck and a 351 is about 1 inch from top of deck. Done, anymore questions.
