How to identify PI heads or intake on a 4.6?

I bought a used 98GT convertible last summer and it seems to have been fairly well loved by its previous owner. I just recently learned about the PI heads and intake manifold and was thinking of going down that path but then was left wondering if the previous owner might have done it already. How could I tell if he did? Are there part numbers stamped somewhere?
