how to install ball joints

Ive never done ball joints and couldnt even point them out on the front suspention if u asked me to. Someone help me.

No worries here. I did the write up because in Haynes they say the balljoint isn't serviceable (replace whole arm) so they don't cover it. Not sure about other manuals though...

it seems like many cars these days say the same thing about the non-servicable control arms. it is funny - with one car we have, the book says the same thing. yet i can get a new ball joint (alone) from the dealer. LOL.

I just put a set in my car yesterday and bought them from Advance Auto. I got a set for an SN-95 though, since I am doing a 5 lug conversion using SN-95 spindles. They were about $35 each and the the part number is 104226. They are TRW's and the best thing is,," They are made in USA!!".....

Mav, cuz the balljoints are pressed in, the manufacturer does not recommend their replacement alone.

if you cannot get just ball joints alone in your neck of the woods, i might get some from an aftermarket vendor (internet). many many choices out there. and 1/10th the cost.
