How to make sliding on the timing chain easier?

I'm in the middle of my FTI h/c/i install...and the timing chain is rather hard to slide on...makes me nervous...would assembly lube, wd40, etc...be fine on the end of the crankshaft timing chain socket???

slide the bottom on first then put the chain on the top gear on a slant put it on the bottom and slide it in your dowl pin and hole
