How to measure the lenght u need for new pushrods after h/c/i?

ok just like the title says. i had a guy tell me u i need to get an adjustable pushrod to measure the lenght but how do u measure it. i want to get the CORRECT lenght!!!

What he is referring to is a pushrod that you buy that you can change the length by screwing it in and out. The way it works is by adjusting the length and checking the geometry of the rocker to make sure the tip is in the middle of the valve stem. Then you measure the length of the pushrod and order them accordingly. All of the cam companies make them so they are easy to get.
