ive been searching everywhere but i cant find the info i need. I can tell its pretty simple, 4 bolts, and the 4 bolts on the connectors. but its not as easy ats is looks. I loosened the bolts in the middle brackets but the damn things wont come out, theres some kind of clip behind it or something, how do i get that off?

and for the connectors that are on the control arm thing what size socket do i use?? Ive tried everyone and not one fits perfectly, its either too small or it strips it. Do i need to loosen one end while i have a wrench on the other side so it dosent tun? im trying to finish this by tonight for the track tomorrow. Thanks

that damn plastic clip is supposed to hold the nut in place so all you have to do is turn a socket from below. with my car, the plastic broke immediately. you will need a wrench on the bottom and a wrench on top. 4 bolts hold it up in the center and then just take the 2 bolts (one on each control arm) off and the entire assembly is out. it is as easy as it seems

I had the same happen as L13^2 did. I broke the egg crate-ish plastic off around the bolt and did like he did to hold the bolt head.

On the end links, one could use a pair of vice grips I suppose. Or if the suspension is at droop, the link should be loaded enough........

Good luck.

what does loaded enough mean? I still cant figure out the size of the bolt though to get a socket on there... if i could i would get it off in a second, and how to i break the plsatic thing? just hit it with a hammer?

i might try and do it later if it stops raining, im not having to much hope for the track tomorrow :bang:

thanks alot guys, i appreciate it

This is a pain in the but job.

Mine had the metal clip nuts on the front sway bar brackets, and just unbolted.

Put WD40 on them first. They had to come all the way off with a wrench.

The end links are one long bolt, and also take some time. Mind had the bolt head sunk into the bushing so I had a hard time getting the wrench on it.

Six bolts total. Got a couple of sway bars hanging on the garage wall now.

my clips on the brackets are plastic, im gonna try to pry it out with a screw drive or break it with a hammer, and for the end links i think its 15mm socket but i dont have the deep well socket for it some im gonna borrow one from my buddy tomorrow
