dont people usualy put some in the crank case?

Or in the gas tank?

i used 3 cans of the stuff last year before i moved to FL i mixed 1 can with 3/4ths of a tank of gas 1 can in the vacume and 1/2 a can along with lucas mixed into the crankcase.. I made it from northern PA all the way to southern virginia on 3/4ths of a tank. Got like 36-40mpg on my trip and only filled up 2 times after the origional 3/4ths was up. Seafoam = teh win

yeah, the crap, takes all the carbon out. My engine was in bad shape when I used it, in the crankcase, and it made a lifter go bad and messed up a couple of rings. but it had high miles, so I cant really blame it.

I'm thankful for the documentation of your using it. If they have that stuff in Canada I'm going to try it in my Topaz, I know its got some mean carbon build up.

I used it last week 1/2 can in the BB line. It works despite what anyone says and when people say it broke this and that it was probaly gonna break anyway. That smoke show in the pics is weak. Mine was crazy and it was also crazy on my 01 Cobra. I keep my rpms at around 2000 for a good 5 mins and then take it out and romp on it, make sure everything gets cleaned out. If you have not used it give it a shot, best $5 you can spend.

Does anyone have any slick methods of getting that hose off? Mine probably has never been removed and is on there damn tight. Maybe something under the hose to loosen it and pry it?

a really really good suggestion for this stuff also it to leave it in there for more than 15 minutes. a good idea is to leave it in there for a couple of hours to overnight then start it up. you will get a insane smoke show and the car will work a million times better if it hasnt been done before

i've done it to the stang, and the t/a, but since i was working at grease monkey the time i did it, i didn't really get any smoke because everytime i'd change my oil, i'd do a 3-part fuel system cleaner.... still worth it though, i put half in the b/b and dumped the rest in the gas tank.

So if I've got 45K on the motor, would you guys recommend using it? I've known about it for a while, but a couple people said it will mess my engine up blah blah blah, I don't really believe it, but yeah.

Then you would be pouring it into the brake booster??

Or do you mean attempting to pour it up into the tree? This would work but you risk the chance of busting the tree (which can be VERY fragile) and you would need a section of hose... Just easier the way the write up went.

If you put it in the crankcase you should change your oil right away after, its not an additive. I wouldn't put it in oil.

If your car was poorly taken care of it can and will loosen sludge, that sludge can block the oil pick up and then say bye bye bearings, its also nothing new, Carb clean, atf hell even water will do the same thing, your just loosening the carbon build up off the intake runners, combustion chamber and pistions. Many dealerships sell it as a "3 can efi flush" only difference is they are spraying it under pressure in 360* into the intake so it cleans the inside of the intake a bit better. they also use an injector cleaner that isn't mixed with the gas and a third can they just dump into the tank.

If take very good care of your car its not needed, but if you have an oil burner it will help. I wouldn't reccomend usiing it on a very neglected car though as some of the high build up of carbon deposits are like little pebbles that can scratch the cyclinder walls.
