How to shed 100lbs?

So I want to take my car on a diet and drop a 100lbs. on the car. I figured a rear seat delete will drop 25lbs or so. A lightweight battery will get me a good drop in weight, and I will get a relocation kit and move it to the back of the car for better distribution.

What else can I do? I need the trunk cloth in the car, and I refuse to remove the spare as I never know when I will get a flat tire. Any suggestions?

Remove spare and jack, remove sound deadening material, remove passenger seat, remove spoiler, lighter suspension mods (K members, etc), lighter weight parts such as mufflers, mid-pipes, etc etc.

There is a list of what each item weighs on Mustangdepot.com

no fries or biggi sizing your fast food,
lay off the beer,
pizza, or anything else that will add weight
get plenty of exersize.
Free weight reduction and could even save you some money.

1st thing i would do is ditch the stock hood. Its like 45lbs or something like that. An aftermarket fiberglass one is i think 25lbs? And if you went Carbon Fiber, well i think they are like 15lbs.

Honesly, the rear seats weigh next to nothing, they really do. I think taking them out and putting in a rear seat delete kit will give you 0 weight reduction. I took those out of my car and put them back in because they were so freakin light. Someone told me i'd lose 60lbs if i took the rear seats out...so i went a head and did it, and everything together felt like it was MAYBE 20lbs....

How do we know he eats fries, biggi sizes his fast food, drinks beer, eats pizza, and doesn't exercise enough?

it was a joke, keep on topic :).

a new hood would be nice, but the money involved doesn't really justify the costs.

are you sure you included the metal pieces for your rear seats? I swear those suckers are 40+.

I just got a can of fix-a-flat since i'm going on a long trip.. I've been without a spare for 4 years.

Yeah, I ran without a spare and jack for awhile, with just a can of faf. But on the can it says not for use on Z rated tires. It's probably ok to use. It probably shouldn't be used if the tire will be driven at +140 mph. :D Probably the manufacturer is trying to reduce liability by excluding high-speed tires.

It might be better to have a spare for a long trip... :flag:

I would never have a spoiler on, absolutely nothing in the trunk, take out the back seat, and take out the passenger seat, and i'd imagine that would be right at 100lb.
