I have a 2000 GT 'vert. A year or 2 ago I had 3.73 gears installed. I decided to order an '06 GT 'vert so I have to sell my 2000. About the time I decided to sell it, it developed a strange noise while driving. I thought it was a rear axel bearing so I took it to a shop, they also thought axel bearing so they changed both bearings, $173. The noise was still there. Not wanting to sell a car with a noise, I took it to a shop in town that specializes in Mustangs. After driving the car they said it was in the rear end, so they took it apart. They said it wasn't set up right and the differential was damaged so they sold me a good used diff, new carrier bearings and new pinion bearing. Noise still there. This morning, I decided to check the front wheel bearings and when I spun the lt front wheel-bingo. Bought a new front bearing hub and a new spindle lock nut-installed and noise is now gone, $75. Total outlay about $1000. When I sell the car-somebody will be getting a car with all new bearings in it. "Stuff Happens".
