Thought that I might see if maybe you guys could help out on a transmission rebuild? Ok I picked up a second 3650 an guy I got it from said 3,4,an 5 would not shift into?? But when I tore it down all seems ok? From a visual stand point? No chipped or worn gears no teeth missing syncros look ok? Any ideas  I know someone has some info on here thanks guys:hail2:

ok guys I know everyone thinks there junk an all. Even heard guy wanting to use his as an anchor for his boat:rlaugh: but if anyone has maybe some pics of one torn down an trashed on the inside that would be great?? Like I posted before the guy said it was bad but looking at all the internals it looks good:shrug: i'm thinking maybe it was his clutch not letting it shift?

that was mostly a joke, I edited in a smiley 'cuz I saw that was missing :/

Mine has been fine. On really cold days (-10F or colder), my 3650 gives a small grind going into second in the morning. That's it. Hardly makes it "junk" in my mind.

Given the huge numbers of these transmissions out there in Mustangs, it would be more surprising if NOBODY had ever had any issues. Some of you come across like you just have entirely unrealistic expectations and zero experience with the real world, whether that's fair or not. There isn't a car company out there that can claim zero issues ever. If you want to call the 3650 junk, feel free, but some of us are going to assume you just can't drive a stick worth a crap.

And I'm on my second Mustang with the plastic intake, and have yet to have an issue. I'm not saying nobody has ever had one, but I've not, and I think there are plenty of other people out there that could say the same thing. It's not like they all crack on the same day.

i had the fix done at the dealer about 3yrs ago and i should have just left it alone.before i took it in i drained off some of the fluid per tremec and it seemed a lot better.i thouhgt the fix at the dealer would take care of the inherrent problems but it didn't.

do a search on this site for the official tremec 3650 issues.you'll find hundreds of complaints.those that never had problems, consider yourselves lucky!!!
