How to tell the diff between the two mufflers

If you had a original flow 40 series flowmaster and a delta flow 40 series sitting in front of you how could you tell the difference?

i think they are stamped on the bottom of the muffler.

Stamped with what? If I remember right my old ones were only stamped with the word Flowmaster.

I don't know if you could tell a difference by just looking at them. I believe they only have Flowmaster stamped on them, but they might have numbers as well.

I don't remember when I installed mine.

What you need is to see both side by side. I bet the Deltas have a different spot weld pattern where the baffles are attached.

should have the # on one of the inlet sides or outlet... then goto flowmaster.com and look up the part # thats how i told mine apart!
