Well today was like any normal Friday. I go to work at Sherwin-williams for about 8 hours, then come home and do nothing. Except I almost died. Thats kinda out of the ordinary.

Let me tell you what happened.

Ok, at work, we sell all kinds of crap. Paint, stain, exterior stain, sheetrock and sheetrock tools, etc, etc.

Well when we get out sheetrock mud in it comes in on a flat bed 18 wheeler. The pallets they come on are wise, and out forklift is a walk behind one. So it has two stabilizing arms that stick out so the forklift wont flip when you have a heavy load. But the only problem is that anything bigger than a normal pallet wont go on the ground because it will lit on the stabilizing arms. The way we fix this is to get a regular pallet and turn it longways and stick it between the arms, and the big pallet sits on it. That means that there is about a foot of unsupported pallet hanging off on each side if you center it properly. And if you dont center it properly, they can fall. Which is exactly what happened.

I was along the back wall getting some paint to mix and I heard a loud ass cracking noise RIGHT behind me. We had just gotten the mud truck in a few days ago, so there were a few pallets in the wrong spot because they wouldnt fit where they are supposed to go.

I quickly turned around and saw the TWO pallets of mud stacked infront of me fall a little, then stop. I was like "Holy ****, I just almost died." And right after I said that it started to fall. I literally had to DIVE out of the way. If I wouldnt have dove then 1728+ pounds of sheetrock mud would have fallen on me (36 boxes per pallet, 48 pounds per box.)

And then as a slap in the face I had to ****ing pick it all up.

I was between the pallet and the shelf when it fell, and I dove out of the way. If you look closely a the left part of the pic, you can see a box that is partially opened next to the white bottles. I was opening that box.
