Well, Its FINALLY going to be a nice weekend here, so I made an appointment to get my car on the dyno. I need to see if it really is lean, or if my gauge is just crap. Hopefully I will also be able to report back how much power I am putting down.

Have any of you datalogged your dyno runs? I asked him if I could bring my laptop to make a datalog for Tim, and he didn't seem like he wanted me to do that. Is this normal? I know he wants to tune the car himself, so I don't know if that could have something to do with it

How much are you paying? Three pulls on a dyno should only be $75-$100 +/- $20 or so. If the guy at the shop is wanting to tune it himself, and you already payed for MPH mongoose stuff don't let him charge you more or even touch the car - just have them run the test and get out of there. You should be able to datalog whatever you want, and if you sign a release waiver (they would be stupid if they didn't make you do that) then you could sit in the car and run your laptop if you really wanted to (but sounds like the shop owner is kind of a pud so I doubt he would "let" you do that).

My guess is the car is running fine, probably either spot on or rich as hell; that's how the Mongoose tunes seem to come, heh.

How much boost you hittin? 9psi I'd say you'll make 370-380ish hp/tq, 10.5-11psi prolly 405-425.

previous owner hit 10-11 PSI. I am going to try and get him to let me datalog it, if I could do that and send it to Tim, I am sure he could tell me exactly what my car is doing (if there IS a problem).

Its 100 for 3 pulls w/ AF.

I cant understand why he is against you data logging it, hell thats the reason to dyno, to see where the problems and weak spots are and fix the dang thing. I already dont like the shop. I am betting you will put down 418rwhp, if im right what do I win JK Cant wait to see how she does, then I will have a better idea when I get blown. It seems if you can hit 418 with 11psi I should be able to get 450 at the same boost

I am guessing more in the 380-400 range, but I guess we will see!

Will I be able to tell if my wideband is accurate if they use one that goes in the tail pipe?

Mine is in my rear 02 monitor bung.... ?

Yes if your car has no cats. Putting the sensor in the tail pipe will delay the readout a bit though, but that won't matter much.

I know my readings were almost a full point leaner on teh dyno vs what my wideband showed.

Wideband.

Its dead on part throttle and who knows how often they calibrate the dynojets wideband or how old that sensor is.

if its chris, its because he wants ur money. he would rather be the one getting paid to tune it making it safe getting money in his pocket, vs u using him to send off for a different tune . he seems nice on the surface, but he is very money hungry...
