I Broke One (Water Pump Bolt!)

The links in your tool list aren't working for me. Trying to search for the parts....

I thought about just putting it back on without the one bolt but i dunno....i dont see why it wouldn't hold but i dont want to have to do this again.

I dont mean to keep running this thread in circles, just trying to figure the best way for me to go about this.

To people who HAVE pulled the timing cover, how hard of a job is the whole thing? Take a long time? If its not that hard, i'd rather do that than spend more money on bits/punches or whatever.

To people who drilled the bolt out then tapped it for a bigger bolt, did you not have to enlarge the hole in the pump (that the bolt passes through) also? Dont they go hand in hand?

Thanks again,
-E

My apologies, you are right, the links don't work.

However , if you search using the part numbers included in my post, you will find what you need. Do a Quick search & select MSC part number from the drop down. You may need the Adobe Acrobat viewer which is also a free download – http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. That will enable you to see the catalog pages & pictures. Lots of neat stuff if you are into machinery & tools.
