Well I came home from work yesterday and the stang was gone:bs: So I went to talk to the manager of my apartments to see if they knew what happened before I called the popo, and they said they had it towed because it had a flat tire, which it didnt. So I just kicked out $204 bucks for towing and 2 days of indoor storage:( I think its a scam cuz theres a beat up eclipse about 20' from me with no tags, busted windows, and it doesnt even have a tire on one rim and been there for a month. Anyone ever dealt with this :bs: before? Any thing I can do to get even?

Friggin' apartments suck!! I always had to park 500 feet away from my apartment because people with expired out of state tags were parked near my building. The complex never did anything about it either. I moved into a house and all is fine now.

It's probably a scam. Maybe your landlord knows the guy that towed the car and split the money between themselves. I think a law just passed here in Illinois to crack down on towing companies that tow cars in "restricted" parking areas. Making owners pay for the towing and temporary storage of the cars.

Go over your lease agreement with a fine tooth comb to see what their stance on inoperable vehicles is, and also vehicles being parked on the premises in disrepair. If you can't find anything in the way of towing your car because of a flat, demand reimbursement for the tow. If they won't satisfy your request, spend the $40 or so to file a suit in small claims court to recover your lost assets.

Get your camera out and start takin pics of the wrecks there. Do it when management is onsite, file a small claims against them to get your money back. Pictures are worth thousand words in court and dollars back in your pocket. Don't forget to include your court costs in the suit. :hail2:

Well I did get a copy of the lease and im not in violation of it, but I dont want to **** with anyones car I just want to get my money back Im gonna try to get the $204 deducted from my rent, if that dont work Ill be in court. I got pics of all the POS cars in the complex, and they didnt fix my tire cuz there was nothing wrong with it, guy opened the door and had to go answer the phone so i lit em up and smoked out the building and hauled @$$! It just pisses me off cuz that was mod money

Those bastards! Apartment living does suck, I have one month left at my current place before I move back to the east coast. Currently, there are 7 cars in the parking lot that have not moved in the last 11 months. I can't understand why they have not been stolen or even vandalised yet, let alone towed away. I'm always worried about something happening to my ride while I'm away, since its the nicest car in like a 1/2 mile radius. Everyone drives s**t boxes in my neigbourhood.

You should get all liquored-up one night and piss in the gas tank of you're landlord's car. Just don't get caught :D

It's a scam, if you ask me. If they towed the POS cars, they wouldn't get a penny cause the owners obviously don't care about their cars. They see a nice car sitting there and KNOW that you will do ANYTHING, almost without question, to get it back. Good luck sticking it to the man!!!! I'm with ya!
