I got my new Dart 347 from Rick at RNH this weekend. I just did a quick mock up of it for some picks. Im hoping to have the car running in the spring. My garage is to small to get a serious work done in it so my engine and other parts take up space while my car sits outsid under a cover. Oh and its frickin cold here also. Im goint try to at least get it in the car so I can put everything inside.

Awwwww shiiiiiiiiitttt sooonnnn. Sounds like that's gonna be a stout combo. Can't wait to see it run. I give you a lot of credit for running all motor these days.

Sorry for the hijack.

Rookie - Coming out you very soon

Those are BBRC rails, I like them since they kick out and miss the huge MSD dist, I prefer to plumb the feed from the rear, return out the front keeps the fuel lines out of the way up front. Leaves a nice clean look..... I plumed Bob's ready for a backhalf fuel system when ever he decides to add some Boost.

i thought to be legal any regulator/Y-block has to be mounted 6" forward from the firewall/flywheel

engine looks nice though

The only tack I go to is Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun MD. They are pretty lax on teching in for grudge or test & tune so hopefully it wont be an issue. I liked the idea of keeping things cleaned up on the front of the motor.

It will sit off the firewall and so far I have not had it fail any NHRA inspection on other cars. You would be surprised how many cars have the fuel stuff mounted to the firewall.....

I always liked those valve covers.
Looks like you got most of the parts, how come it won't be ready till spring?

My Garage is very small forcing me to have to do most work outside. With my garage door closed I have about 18 inches off each bumper. I will send the car to CD Race cars to get the 6pt bar installed and then hopefully get the engine in. Then I just have to wait for some decent temps. Rick left the rockers backed off so the engine would stay sealed up till I was ready to finally get it running. My garage doesnt have heat so Rick suggested not turnng the motor till I can find a way to get the temps up in the garage because the assembly lube gets really thick. I do have just about everything I need though.

P.S. thanks for all the compliments from everyone !

Got my 331 (and the rest of the car) back from Rick about a week ago. Very happy so far. I was skeptical that the combo wouldn't be DD friendly but it has great street manners.

Only got 110 miles on it and some little tweaks left. Thing I've noticed so far (keeping it under 4K RPM) is it seems to have more torque than I expected which is a very good thing.

Good luck with your 347, I'm sure it'll be a monster!!!

I got a small propane heater on clearance sale from HD for like $60.
It's a small one that blows like a mini jet engine. This thing will heat a 2 car garage in about 5 minutes, then you have to turn it off because you are sweating.
Push your car half way in, then close the garage door as far as it will go.

BTW, thank god i did not get the big kerosene jet heater, which i wanted, that thing would of melted half my garage.

Looks good man, glad to hear its more than expected so far. Are you going to have it dyno tuned, if so keep me in mind for the results. Where are you located.
