I have been looking for a 5.0 fox for about a week now and they are too many to choose from. I know my price range and there are tons of cars that fit the bracket. I have been looking at a stock '92 'notch 5.0 and a '88 'hatch with tons of extras. The 'hatch has a 306 (25k miles), T-5 (1k miles), 3.73 gears, stock p/p heads, cobra upper/lower, ecam, 24# injectors, 17" cobra rims, lowering springs, and power everything including sunroof. The '88 'hatch is surprising a lot cheaper, talking $1000 so I would have money left over to spend on other goodies for it!

1992 'notch is from www.mpsautosalvage.com - look under "Cars 4 sale"
1988 'hatch is from a guy out in Dallas, Ga about 90 miles from me.

Any suggestions???

Check them both out and see which one looks best to you. notches make me wet so I would probably place my money on that.

Well after I get the car I won't have money for awhile to start modding so I will be stuck driving it the way it is for awhile. If I got the 'hatch is is already built besides maybe 4 wheel disc brakes/5 lug conversion, Supercharger, aftermarket heads, tons of mods I would still make.

That just gives you more of a reason to want to save up to make it faster when its slow.

Whaaaa KcMstang I almost feel sorry for you too many mustangs to chose from

Ha ha just kidding man, I am actually jealous to hear that statement, because I almost went mad amnit: trying to find one in decent condition around this craphole area.

I hate making decisions too, so all I can suggest is DO NOT settle, and I wish you good luck in your quest.

I always shy away from a modified car, go for stock.
As far as the years i will always try to stick with an 89.......Mass air, good block, good pistons, no airbag and the steering wheel looks way better.

The hatch looks decent, but that notch looks so virginal...lovin it. Just needs a carpet cleaning and

I guy said that he recently had it tuned and dynoed. Made 270hp 315tq to the wheels. It has fewer miles than the '92 and would be cheaper to get it to the point that I would like it at. I'll check out the cars then make a decision from there but probably come home with the 'hatch.

Yeah, Neal (guy who works there) just gave me a call a couple of minutes ago. Guess my decision has been made for me, now I'm much less stressed.
