I had a similar problem last July with my 94 GT. Never found out what it was, had to trade it in for an 03 Focus due to my lack of resources at the time, and I was on my way to a new duty station. I hope you can find out what it is, my problem was progressive and I couldn't find a shop that knew what to do.

check all your plug wires and make sure none are mixed up

also you never said anything about how your timing was set

That PIP is causing more and more headaches, almost every 3 days someone will post a stalling problem , we should do some sticky Stalling topic with information on the Sensor and how to change it ( cheap route ) , or just installing another dist, this reminds me that also the radiators have a lifetime of exactly 10~ years, no matter what stang ive seen but all with 10 years + oem radiator will start leaking, seems to apply to the PIP.

Ohh well i think our cars are showing the age they have

o sheesh, did you figure this out? i hope so.. honestly, it can only be a few things so dont dispare. Cars are relatively simple, they are only made up of so many man made parts. Now the universe..

I noticed you have recently changed you intake manifold, or had it off the car, then put it back on. Check for vacuum leaks, especially around the lower intake manifold seal to engine block! This is often overlooked and could easily cause the symptoms that your car has right now!

ON a side note: I have replaced the TPS, IAT, ECT, MAF, both HO2s, alternator, and the A/C high pressure switch so far.
I figure the TFI, PIP, IAC, EGR, CCRM will be the next victoms

I made a similar comment a year ago. Since then, I've replaced both.

hmmm you said you put in a new maf but it sounds to me like maybe its got something on the sensor i would clean your maf when mine is in need of cleaning if i start it and try to give it gas it will stumble for a second and die or stubble a second before it revs so i would focus on your maf right off hand

I'm not sure about this, but when you bought the new TPS sensor, did you bring the old one in to match the numbers? When I replaced mine, Ford said that there were 2 part numbers for our Throttle position sensors.

ok guys Trick flow is STUPID! This is what I have found out. When I replaced the intake I noticed that the valve covers had no place for the Oil fill port. So where does it go? Into the back of the lower intake manifold where the PCV valve is suppose to be. HMMMM I say, well I guess it takes out the PCV valve thinking it was built in the lower manifold or something (I know that was a dumb thing to think) and the vaccum line goes from the oil filler neck (now located at the back of the engine) to the Upper Manifold to relieve the crankcase pressure. Well turns out that that there was nothing to regulate the pressure coming from the crankcase (like a PCV valve is supposed to do) so in essence creating a massive vaccum leak with in the engine. So I disconnected the hose from the filler neck and taped it off and added a hose to the oil filler neck to relieve the pressure from the crankcase until I can figure out what the hell to do with out a PCV valve. Any body else know what to do? PICTURES will be helpful!!!!

Well I can say that awhile back, I had the exact same issues you originally described, and we thought it was all those items that you have currently fixed. But what we found out was that the Fuel Pump went bad What had happened was that my Aeromotive 1000 went bad and was barely pumping any fuel, just enough to piss you off and check everything else..... So I went and ordered a new Eliminator Aeromotive fuel pump and BAM!!!! the Cobra ran like a champ.

Just food for thought.

Dont forget that you still may have to tune that MAF. Some people do and some dont. For me, it was all the difference etween driveable and not..
