i found a set of crower cams for the 2v engine. but i know nothing about cams. they are: INTAKE: Duration: 272º Lift: 0.49
EXHAUST: Duration: 272º Lift: 0.49

is this a mild cam?
can i use my stock valve springs?
will it work on a stock computer + tune?
how much HP would i see from these cams + long tubes?

is $275 a fair price for these cams, with just a few miles on them?

272º Lift: 0.49

Sounds like a mild cam.

Comp 262H is 224*/232*/0.500"/0.500"

VT stage 1
.540/.550 lift
224/226 .050 dur
269/271 adv dur
110 LSA

VT Stage 2
.560/.575 lift
225/235 .050 dur
270/282 adv dur
108 LSA

MaroonMustangGT:

Take those specs and look for something comparable at Comp Cams (under the 4.6L engine section, of course). From the lift (0.49"), they appear to be for the non-PI head. Your '03 uses PI heads and the lift is 0.55". Lastly, 274/274 is a hefty cam, imho.

Chris

..edit: DOH!, make that Crower, not Comp! .. end of edit

Yeah that lift seems more appropriate for NPI heads. I think youd be better off with one for higher lift since the stock cams are .550 lift

do you have the part number? Crower makes several different profiles, so it's hard to tell which ones you are talking about with the specs provided.
