So i can use a tranny out of a 83 fox body car, but my output ? shaft is longer then the one's in the fox's, so if i use the bell housing out of the fox will that tranny work? A great friend will let me use the bell housing as well if it will work till i get the new one on the 16th of september. From what ive beeen told all i will need is a drive line spacer and the bell housing correct? thanks. peace

A fox tranny will swap in, if you use the fox bell, but it puts the shifter 3/4" further forward and the driveshaft ends up 3/4" shorter. Neither one is really a deal breaker, but the driveshaft spacer isn't a bad idea. I ran my cobra with the C-4 and the stock driveshaft without issue. It still had plenty of engagement on the output shaft, and it's even a bit shorter than the fox T-5's are.

thanks pog, i kinda figured it would with these condition's, now will a tremac 3650 out of a 2002 gt work or how much will it take to get to work? peace
The only way you'll get a 3650 to fit in your car is if you swap in the 4.6L engine to go with it. The 3650 has an integral bellhousing and the bolt pattern does not match a 5.0L block.
